As the Lounge Bar Supervisor, you will play a vital role in enhancing our passengers travel experience by overseeing the daily operations of the lounge bar.
With your expertise in hospitality and a passion for creating memorable experiences, you will contribute to the overall success of our lounge, reinforcing Cathay’s reputation as a leader in premium airline service.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver excellent service to customers with warmth and professionalism and in accordance to company and legal standards relating to service, food safety, health and safety
- Work with Lounge Service Delivery Manager and Premium Service Team to deliver personalised and memorable experiences for premium customers
- Support the bar teams development through training and task delegation while collaborating with the back of house to ensure smooth operations
- Deliver excellent customer service while supervising and directing bartenders and bar backs
- Ensure consistent beverage preparation and quality while maintaining high cleanliness and presentation standards in the working environment
- Monitor beverage stock levels and inventory while adhering to safety, hygiene, and service standards
- Stay updated on regulatory and service requirements while providing training and development for the bar team
- Maintain a strong understanding of beverages, including wine, spirits, cocktails, and tea, along with expertise in mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
- Assist guests with orders and menu recommendations, ensuring efficient delivery of drinks and snacks while addressing bespoke requests to maintain customer satisfaction
- Execute tasks from Lounge Duty Managers, including audits, incident management, meetings, and engagement activities
Requirements- Right to work in Hong Kong
- Minimum age of 18
- Post-secondary qualifications
- Proficient of spoken and written English, Cantonese and Putonghua
- Minimum 5 years of experience as bartender in lounge operations. Catering hospitality, fine dining, sizeable luxury hotel or similar capacity is an advantage
- Knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktail. With wine and beverage certificate or relevant certificates will be an advantage
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with excellent interpersonal abilities to deliver service excellence while managing multiple tasks
- Flexibility to work on shift schedules including overnight shift
