Make a Direct Impact in Energy Efficiency – Field Service Technician
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a customer-focused and hands-on Field Service Technician to support a residential energy efficiency program in partnership with a local electric utility. This is a unique opportunity to help homeowners reduce energy consumption while traveling across Florida.
About the Role
As a Field Service Technician, you’ll visit customer homes to install energy-saving products and educate residents on how to reduce their electricity usage. You’ll work closely with a partner, maintain accurate records, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. This role involves travel and direct customer interaction, making it ideal for those who enjoy being on the move and making a difference.
Key Responsibilities
Install energy-efficient products such as LED bulbs, low-flow aerators, showerheads, insulation jackets, pipe insulation, foam sealant, and more
Educate customers on energy-saving practices
Accurately report installation measures and safety issues
Drive work trucks/box vans safely to and from customer homes and lodging
Participate in neighborhood kickoff events
Travel 60 throughout Florida (vehicle provided during travel)
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required)
Valid driver’s license (MVR check required)
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work with a partner and independently
Safety-minded and detail-oriented
Willingness to travel overnight throughout the workweek
Ability to work occasional weekends and flexible schedules
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Sales, Customer Service, Cable/Satellite Installations, Alarm Installation, HVAC, energy efficiency, or construction
Ability to speak Spanish (desired but not required)
Familiarity with fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
Professionalism and strong ethics

Pay Rate: $19/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (occasional Saturdays or 4-day/10-hour weeks based on field needs)

Pay Details: $19.00 per hour
