Job Description:
The Commericial Development Assembly FLIGHT DECK Leader will play an integral role in developing and activating the FLIGHT DECK strategy across the department alongside the leadership staff and business leader. This role will partner with a cross-matrix organization at all levels of the facility and value stream to drive flow, process improvements, reduce lead time, maximize cash flow, and coach our sites problem-solving maturity.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Aligning our Aerospace business strategic goals and objectives to drive acomprehensive lean strategy for the site. 
  • Coach and collaborate with all levels of the organization and functions at thesite including operators, support staff, and the leadership team to helpprogress our culture of continuous improvement 
  • Actively engage and coach the site’s daily management process includingdaily management meetings, gemba walks, and kata coaching cycles. 
  • Demonstrate Leadership in communicating business goals, programs, andprocesses for identified model business unit(s)/areas 
  • Utilize experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and executeobjectives for self and others, and effect short and some long-term goals 
  • Act as a change agent in the implementation of demand flow utilizing leanmanufacturing tools and methodologies 
  • Establish and implement strategies, programs, and practices to achieve leanbusiness system adoption at the facility 
  • Manage the full implementation of the lean management system includingstrategy, value stream activities, daily management, andarchitecture/infrastructure. . 
  • Advise and coach site leadership and their teams on the lean businesssystem. 
  • Create, with site staff, the lean vision and implement the lean strategy toassist the operation in its lean transformation. 
  • Facilitate and coach kaizen events that are aligned with the achievement ofbusiness site level metrics. 
  • Champion change across the organization to foster the growth in Lean andsite teaming journey 
  • Help drive engagement with site business leaders to collaborate in Leaninitiatives that foster goal attainment for current and future business needs 
  • Bring new ideas, motivation, and positive support to all levels of the team 
  • Lead and effectively interface with manufacturing and other support teamsto complete projects to meet EHS, production, quality, inventory, and costsavings 
  • Interface with internal and external customers/suppliers in an effectivemanner to ensure that technology and processes are positioned for currentand future success 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a program or project leadership role within the operating environment with proven impact transforming SQDC experience
  • (OR) a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years experience inmanufacturing working in a matrixed environment and with cross functionalteams. 
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.  We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
