Job Title: Aviation Parts Purchaser
Job DescriptionThe Aviation Parts Purchaser coordinates all activities related to the procurement of parts, materials, and supplies to support the efficient operation of the company. This role involves reviewing proposals, negotiating prices, selecting or recommending suppliers, and maintaining necessary records to ensure seamless procurement processes.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the requirements of materials, including preliminary specifications, preferred suppliers, and the date materials are needed.
- Search inventory records or warehouse to determine if material on hand is sufficient.
- Consult catalogs and contact suppliers to obtain pricing, specifications, and deliverability.
- Obtain quotes from approved suppliers for replacement parts and services.
- Confer with vendors and analyze them based on quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
- Follow up on outstanding purchase orders for timely delivery of parts and services.
- Monitor inventory and supplies to ensure optimum on-hand quantities for repair, new manufacturing, and shop maintenance.
- Investigate potential suppliers and advise team members or management on the appropriate supplier.
- Maintain timely control of purchase orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents.
- Coordinate all activities related to procurement from the intent to purchase through delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills- Thorough knowledge of Supply Chain Operations.
- Proficiency with ERP Systems.
- Competency in Microsoft Office basics.
- 3-5 years of purchasing experience.
- Procurement experience in the Aviation Industry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience purchasing parts for Bombardier Challenger and Textron Hawker models in an MRO environment is a plus.
- Experience with aircraft maintenance management software.

Work Environment
The role operates in a Monday to Friday schedule. The work environment is collaborative, utilizing various technologies such as ERP systems and Microsoft Office. The dress code is business casual.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $35.00/hr.
