Join a team that designs, develops, and integrates highly complex systems within Honeywells Mechanical Systems and Components organization in the Actuation Group. You will play a crucial role in creating design solutions for actuation systems across the aerospace industry, from primary flight control actuation systems on aircraft to missiles and launch vehicles. You will be involved in every aspect of the system life cycle, from initial design concepts through to product end-of-life.

This position will provide technical leadership in execution, cost control, schedule management, milestone oversight, and customer/PM interface to meet key milestones and program objectives. This opportunity offers an excellent platform to develop the aerospace technologies of the future!


Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
  • Project management performance and execution
  • Customer technical communication and relationship management
  • Physics-based model development and system design
  • Control architecture and design
  • Technical problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Technical documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reports
  • Analysis of test data results
  • Assessment of customer requirements documentation
  • Evaluation of government regulatory requirements
  • Design validation through build and test execution
  • Risk (threats/opportunities) development and management
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of engineering experience
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident due to export and ITAR restrictions
  • Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance
WE VALUE
  • Team building and collaboration
  • Experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic actuation is a plus
  • Experience in developing motor-driven actuation systems
  • Experience with aircraft ECS component development and system integration
  • Experience in implementing control architecture in electronic controller applications
  • Proficiency in systems simulation (Matlab/Simulink and Excel or other performance modeling software)
  • Ability to create specific action plans, prioritize time, and allocate resources effectively
  • Self-motivated individuals who can work independently and consistently take initiative
  • Strong communication skills to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, tailored to the topic and audience
  • Ability to articulate technical ideas and concepts through team discussions, presentations, and written communication
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) skills are a plus
