Morson Talent are currently recruiting for a Supply Planner to work on the behalf of one of our prestigious clients based in Christchurch. This is a contract role for 6 months, with possibility of extension.
As a Supply Planner for our client, you will play a crucial role in optimizing inventory management and ensuring efficient supply chain operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing inventory strategies, analyzing demand patterns, and collaborating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Your expertise in inventory planning and supply chain management will contribute
to improving customer satisfaction, minimizing carrying costs, and reducing waste.
You will report directly to their EMEAI Aftermarket Distribution Manager.
You will lead and manage inventory planning activities, develop and implement inventory strategies to optimize stock levels, and analyze demand patterns to forecast future inventory requirements. Additionally, you will collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, monitor inventory performance, and implement process improvements to enhance inventory management. Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage planning activities, forecasting accuracy, MRP messages, Lead time check, safety stock adjustment and adherence for a specific portfolio
- Develop and implement inventory strategies to optimize stock levels
- Analyze demand patterns and forecast future inventory requirements
- Collaborate with internal suppliers (US, EMEA and APAC) to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Monitor supply performance and implement corrective actions
- Control the allocation of material between spares and repairs where there is limited availability due to global supply constraints.
Key Experience & Capabilities:
- 3+ years of experience in Aftermarket Planning or Supply Chain Management
- Knowledge of the Aviation Aftermarket Business
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using SAP (MM/LE) and/or MRP Systems
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
We value:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience with Servigistics tool, PowerBI, Data Analysis (i.e. Microsoft Access / Python)
- Experience in implementing inventory optimization strategies
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Continuous learning mindset and eagerness to stay updated with industry trends
40 hours per week. Mon - Fri, 8am - 4pm
