PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aerospace innovator to hire a highly skilled Quality Test Specialist in Mesa, AZ. If you’re an expert in CMM programming, GD&T, and precision inspection, this is your opportunity to work on advanced aerospace systems where accuracy is mission-critical.
Your ImpactAs a Quality Test Specialist, you’ll ensure the integrity and precision of aerospace components supporting Vertical Lift programs. Your expertise in measurement systems and inspection processes will directly influence product quality, safety, and performance.
What You’ll Do- Set up, program, validate, and execute CMM measurement routines for machined and composite components
- Perform first article, in-process, and audit inspections using CMM, laser trackers, probes, and hand tools
- Review and verify NC/CMM programs for accuracy, repeatability, and optimization
- Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles to inspection planning
- Document measurement results and generate detailed inspection reports
- Communicate findings to engineering and manufacturing teams to support corrective actions
- Conduct calibration checks and coordinate formal calibration of metrology equipment
- Mentor and train team members on CMM operations and measurement best practices
- Support troubleshooting and escalate complex quality issues as needed
What You BringRequired Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with CMM programming and dimensional measurement systems
- 3+ years applying GD&T and interpreting engineering drawings
- Experience with on-machine probing and/or laser tracking systems
- Proficiency with precision hand tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a shop floor environment
- This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of related inspection/CMM experience
- Experience with PC-DMIS or similar CMM software
- Experience developing CMM routines from CAD models
- Knowledge of composite and metallic part inspection processes
- Prior experience mentoring or training others
Education & Experience:
- Typically requires an Associate degree with 3+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience

Pay Details: $31.78 per hour
