The Customer Service Representative YYZ will report to the Airport Manager, Toronto (YYZ). The selected candidate will assist in developing, promoting and enhancing the Companys image and reputation by providing prompt, efficient and courteous customers in passenger handling activities at the ticketing counters, departure gates and arrival halls. Appointment to this position will be offered on a fixed-term contractual basis.
KEY DELIVERABLES:
- Customer Service: Continuously seeks to capitalise on opportunities to exceed the expectations of internal and external customers by placing a keen interest on understanding and effectively resolving issues in a professional and result-oriented manner. Ensures the efficient processing of passengers at check-in counters, departure gates, and arrival halls.
- Operational Effectiveness: Ensures effective and efficient utilization of assigned resources, including third-party contractor, towards ensuring that customer service and on-time performance standards are achieved. Liaises with the flight crew, security services, systems operations control and government/regulatory agencies on matters related to passenger boarding, handling, and other special requirements.
- Reporting: Ensures the delivery of accurate operational reports in accordance with pre-established timelines.
- Compliance: Actively supports the advancement of the organisation’s safety and quality culture, through compliance with corporate and regulatory guidelines.
- Performs such other duties outside the normal scope of responsibilities required to maximise efficiency, productivity, teamwork, and customer relations and enhance the Companys entire operations.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
You must have a High School Diploma (or equivalent qualification) or a minimum of five (5) CXC/GCE Ordinary Level passes, including Mathematics and English, with at least three (3) years of experience in a similar customer service supervisory role, preferably in the airline industry. You must demonstrate proficiency in the MS Office Suite. You must be knowledgeable and have experience in using a Computerised Reservations System. You must have a strong customer service orientation and be willing to work shift hours in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, possess the ability to exercise judgement and initiative, and work well under pressure.
